About

Turpentine Creek is a Non-Profit organization that provides lifetime refuge for abandoned, abused, and neglected "Big Cats"with emphasis on Tigers, Lions, Leopards, and Cougars.

As a non-profit, we depend solely on donations in order to properly care for the animals in need who have found a home here. We ask that this holiday season, you open your hearts and help us help them by making a small donation. By selecting an animal card from our Angel Tree, you get the opportunity to "adopt" them for the holidays and provide a small Christmas gift for an animal in need. Once your donation is received (& please specify it is an Angel Tree gift!), you will receive a small thank-you gift in the mail.

Today there are over a dozen reputable sanctuaries for big cats around the country, and Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge truly stands out as a frontrunner. The United States has thousands of its residents keeping dangerous big cats in their backyards, basements, garages, and warehouses. People acquire these animals as pets and soon find they have made a grave decision and turn to Turpentine Creek for refuge.

As a non-profit, we depend solely on donations in order to properly care for the animals in need who have found a home here. We ask that you open your hearts and help us help them by making a small tax-deductible donation. Check out our "List" page to see all the items we currently need, or if you have a favorite cat here at TCWR you can find them on the site and see what item they've requested, providing a gift for an animal in need. There's nothing you need to select or purchase here on the site - this simply serves as a way for us to communicate our needs.

Today there are over a dozen reputable sanctuaries for big cats around the country, and Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge truly stands out as a frontrunner. The United States has thousands of its residents keeping dangerous big cats in their suburban backyards, basements, garages, and warehouses. People acquire these animals as pets, but soon find they have made a grave decision and desperately turn to Turpentine Creek for help. Without the refuge offered here, the future of many of these animals - and the surrounding public - would be uncertain.
